LOCATION: The Golden Tulip Dar es Salaam is located on the tranquil green area of the Msasani Peninsula, Dar es Salaam. The seaside location of the hotel gives you a fantastic view of the Indian Ocean. The architecture is inspired by the Arabic influences on the Swahili coast and provides a luxurious and comfortable atmosphere. The entrance hall is spectacular with it's stately pillars, rotunda and grand dome. The city centre, main business area, international organisations and embassies are all located nearby. The airport is situated 18 km from the hotel on the outskirts of the city.

ACCOMMODATION: The Golden Tulip Dar es Salaam has appointed 84 full sized rooms of 38 square meters each, 4 executive suites, 2 diplomatic suites and 1 Presidential Suite. All rooms and suites have sea view with private balcony and offer all the comfort you would expect of an international hotel on the East African Coast. All rooms are air conditioned and are equipped with satellite television, data ports, a large writing desk, in-room safe, direct dial international telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. The bathrooms are all marble finished and equipped with hairdryers. We offer 24 hour room service and laundry services.

The Presidential Suite
The largest Presidential Suite in Tanzania offers 260 square meters of comfort with a panoramic view of the Indian Ocean and the skyline of Dar es Salaam and hosts heads of state, celebrities, newly-weds and guests that appreciate comfort, quality, discretion and security.

The Diplomatic Suite
The hotel offers two Diplomatic suites, both 125 square meters in size. These suites offer the perfect accommodation for the well-seasoned traveler and have a full ocean view and balcony. The suite consists of a bedroom with jacuzzi and bathroom and a living room combined with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and guest bathroom.

The Executive Suite
The four Executive suites, each 60 square meters in space offer the ideal accommodation for the traveler who stays longer than average and in need of a living room and a comfortable bedroom. Receiving guests is easy due to the separate entrance and guest bathroom. A private terrace on the ocean side adjoining the garden offers a relaxed environment to stay in.

The balcony along the whole width of the suite is the perfect venue to relax and enjoy the view. The bedroom consists of a large king size bed for a sound sleep, comfortable seating, a large screen TV with satellite connection, a beautiful spacious desk and a balcony facing the Indian Ocean. The marble finished bathroom is well equipped with shower, bath, double sink, bidet, toilet and a large mirror. For your well- being the adjoining jacuzzi room is designed to offer you a moment of romance or peace, overlooking the ocean and the city. The fine dining restaurant Sanaa (Swahili word for art ) is situated on the first floor and offers modern fusion cuisine. The restaurant is air conditioned and offers a magnificent view over the landscaped gardens and the Indian Ocean.

The Maasai Bar
The Maasai Bar is on the ocean front and offers the ideal venue for a relaxing meal or drink in the company of friends.

Arabica Coffee Shop
The Arabica Coffee Shop is located in our shopping arcade and offers daily fresh pastries and sweets, and house blend coffee from the Tanzanian coffee fields. Cakes for celebrations or any other occasion can be ordered.

The Ocean Terrace
The Ocean Terrace is the heart of the premises of the Golden Tulip Dar es Salaam. Having a quiet drink surrounded by the beautiful architecture, the landscaped gardens, the biggest pool in Dar es Salaam and magnificent ocean views are the ingredients to a good time.

The Infinity Pool
This is the largest and definitely most exclusive swimming pool in Dar es Salaam. Situated on the cliffs, the pool's surface majestically blends in with the horizon of the Indian Ocean. The maximum depth of the pool is 4 meters and it has a shallow corner for the little ones. Massage, manicure and pedicure available by the pool side every weekend. Meals and drinks are served to you from the Maasai Bar. Our trained pool staff are always present.
